AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): At least 189 Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces, including tear-gas suffocation cases, during protests across the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip, on Friday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said that Israeli forces injured 50 Palestinians with live ammunition, while others out of the total of 189 were injured with rubber-coated steel bullets or suffered tear-gas inhalation.
Spokesperson of the ministry, Ashraf al-Qidra, said that 73 of those injured were hospitalized, while 116 were treated on the spot.
Al-Qidra pointed out that 10 children were among those injured.
Since the beginning of "The Great March of Return" protests on March 30th, some 171 Palestinians have been killed and at least 17,500 suffered injuries.
The protests were launched by thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza -- which has suffered from a decade-long Israeli siege -- who took to the borders to demand their right of return as refugees to their original homelands, now in present-day Israel.
